As per regulation of Dibrugarh University, the MBA (Part Time) Programme shall be of 3 years duration commencing from July every year and one academic year will complete in next year June. The first two years shall have common courses for all and there shall be three options for specialization only in the third year. Specialization will be offered in Marketing Management, Finance and Human Resource anagement. As a part of the course curriculum, a student is required to undertake a ProjectWork on completion of Second year.
A candidate who (i) Possess a Bachelor Degree of Dibrugarh University or any other recognized university and (ii) Having at least 2 (Two) years post qualification work experience in any Government, semi overnment, or Non- Government Organization, is eligible to apply for admission into First Year of Part Time MBA course. Self Employed Persons having above mentioned qualification and experience shall also be considered for the admission purpose.
Admission Committee, Department of Business Administration, shall select the candidates for the admission. There shall be an Admission Test in the form of Written Test for admission into Part Time MBA Course. Written Test shall be of 200 marks and it shall consist of General Awareness, Test of Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and English Language. On the basis of performance of Written Test, a Merit List shall be prepared and priority in the admission shall be given on the basis of Merit List.
A student of MBA Part Time programme shall have to attend minimum 80% of total classes in each paper to be eligible to appear in End semester examinations.
As per the approved regulation of Dibrugarh University, a candidate who possesses any Bachelor degree of Dibrugarh University in 10+2+3 pattern, or from any other recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate in either pass or major subjects, is eligible to apply for admission into the MBA 2 year full time programme.
- A student shall be required to secure at least 45% marks in aggregate in each Year End Examination and minimum 40% marks in each paper individually in order to pass the Year End Examination.
- A student who fails in the aggregate although he/she passes in all the papers individually in the Year End Examination, shall have the option to appear or clear any number of papers of his/her choice as backlog in the following year's respective Year End Examination.
- A student who fails to pass first year and second year examinations shall not be allowed to continue his/her studies in the second and third year respectively.
- A student must pass all his/her Year-End Examinations within 5 (five) years from the date of Admission.
A candidate on successful completion of the First Year Part Time MBA Course shall be awarded a 'Certificate in Business Management'; on successful completion of Part Time MBA Second Year Course, shall be awarded 'Diploma in Business Management'; on successful completion of the Third Year Course, shall be awarded 'MBA Degree' of Dibrugarh University.
